1: Improper startup method. Some operators use the abnormal start method of waterless start (start first and then add cooling water) to quickly start Shangchai generators in winter. This method can cause serious damage to the machine, so it is forbidden to use it.

The correct preheating method is: first put the thermal insulation cover on the water tank, open the waterproof valve, continuously inject 60 ~ 70% of clean medulla oblongata into the water tank, touch the water flowing out of the water valve with your hand, and when it feels hot, close the water valve and put it in the water. Pour 90 ~ 100 clean medulla into the water tank, and shake the crankshaft to perform various movements.

2: Do not pay attention to gas insulation. In winter, when the temperature is low, it is easy to over-cool the generator when it is running. Therefore, insulation is the key to using diesel generators well in winter. Diesel generators used in winter in northern regions need to be equipped with insulation covers, insulation curtains and other cold-proof equipment. Another thermostat plays an important role in the temperature rise when the diesel generator is running. Therefore, the working condition of the thermostat should be checked before entering the winter, and the failed thermostat should be replaced in time.

3. Please be careful not to add water or add cooling water too early. Return to idle speed before starting and shutting down, wait for the temperature of the cooling water to drop below 60, the water is not hot, turn off the lights and release the water. If the cooling water is removed prematurely, the gas is suddenly attacked by the cold air when the temperature is high, and it suddenly shrinks and cracks. When adding water, completely drain the remaining water in the gas. This allows the ice to expand, preventing the gas from expanding.

4: Do not flame the pan. Prevent the oil in the oil pan from deteriorating, even burning, and reducing or completely losing lubricating properties, thereby increasing machine wear. In winter, oil with a low condensation point should be used, and the oil temperature can be increased by heating the water bath outside the machine when starting.

5. Be careful not to start with flame In this way, during the start-up process, the external dust-containing air will not be filtered, but directly sucked into the cylinder, the piston, cylinder and other components are abnormally worn, and the generator works rough, which will damage the machine.

6. Low temperature load work should be avoided. After the Shangchai generator caught fire, some drivers couldn't wait to put the load to work immediately. The generator gas temperature is low soon after the fire, the oil viscosity is high, the oil is less able to enter the friction surface of the moving part, and the machine may be severely worn. In addition, plunger springs, valve springs, and injector springs tend to break due to "brittleness". Therefore, Shangchai generator manufacturers believe that after turning on the lights in winter, the generator should wait for a few minutes to idle at low and medium speeds, and the coolant temperature reaches 60, and then carry out load work.

7: Please be careful not to use fuel arbitrarily. The low temperature in winter makes the fluidity of diesel oil worse, the viscosity increases, it is not easy to disperse, the atomization is poor and the combustion deteriorates, and the power and economy of diesel generators decrease. Therefore, light oil with low strain rate and good ignition performance should be selected in winter. Generally speaking, the freezing point of a diesel engine should be 7-10 degrees lower than the current local temperature.
